Meet the Founder
Sajit Gurubacharya
Sajit is a data professional with 7+ years of experience spanning data analytics and engineering. Currently the Data Lead at Banpu Energy, and formerly a Data & AI Manager at KPMG, he brings deep expertise in building data-driven solutions that help organisations turn operational data into practical outcomes.
As a former international student himself, Sajit understands firsthand the challenges of navigating Australia's migration system. This personal experience, combined with his passion for community building, led him to found the Computing Society at Western Sydney University where he won the Above and Beyond Award. He continues to support the international students through student associations and community initiatives.
Through mentoring students and witnessing their struggles with visa pathways and settlement, Sajit identified a critical gap in accessible, transparent migration guidance. This insight inspired him to create Starmy - a platform designed to demystify the migration process and provide personalized support at every step of the journey. His mission is simple: make migration to Australia as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
